To support the completion of the Barnes Center at The Arch construction, the project contractor will close Sims Drive and Forestry Drive for final asphalt paving on Friday, Aug. 9, and Saturday, Aug. 10.

During this time Sims Drive will be closed from Carnegie Library to the south past Flanagan Gym, and Forestry Drive will be closed directly south of The Barnes Center at The Arch. The Carnegie Lot (formerly Q3 Lot) will remain accessible from the Euclid Avenue entrance to campus.

Delays in the proposed work may occur as a result of weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or for safety reasons. In the event that there is a significant delay, Facilities Services will issue revised information as soon as possible. For everyone’s safety, you are encouraged to remain alert in work areas, watch for route changes, heed construction flagger directions/employees at work and follow pedestrian signs.
