The City of Syracuse’s contractor has scheduled work in the Marshall Street and South Crouse Avenue intersection that will require the intersection to be closed to vehicular traffic. The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Aug. 7, and is anticipated to take two to three days to complete. During the work, South Crouse Avenue will be closed from Waverly Avenue to the Marshall Street intersection from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m  each day. All work is scheduled to be complete no later than the end of the business day Friday, Aug. 9.

Upon completion of the Marshall Street intersection the city’s contractor has similar work scheduled for the University Avenue and Waverly Avenue intersection. This work will not require a closure to vehicular traffic. The work is anticipated to take two days to complete and will begin upon completion of the Marshall Street intersection work. The work will take place between Friday, Aug. 9, and Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Delays in the proposed work may occur as a result of weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or for safety reasons. In the event that there is a significant delay, Facilities Services will issue revised information as soon as possible. For everyone’s safety, you are encouraged to remain alert in work areas, watch for route changes, heed construction flagger directions/employees at work and follow pedestrian signs.
