National Grid is in the process of installing a gas main along the east side of Comstock Avenue, from Stratford Street extending south and across East Colvin Street. The work is expected to be completed by mid-August.
During the installation process, portions of the sidewalk along that side of the street may be affected and pedestrians will be advised to use the sidewalk on the opposite (west) side.
Both Comstock Avenue and East Colvin Street will remain open throughout the project, but drivers should expect lane reductions with flaggers directing traffic around the area in which work is taking place.
