To support the construction of the Barnes Center at The Arch, additional utility work is required on Forestry Drive, beginning today. The work will begin at the Dome loading dock and extend east to the intersection with Campus Drive. A road closure will be required for this work. The road closure will extend into next week and into the second week of June.
During the initial closure, a detour will be available for vehicles to proceed to the south through the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry campus and north up Campus Drive. Next week, most likely on Wednesday, June 5, the work will require closing the intersection of Forestry and Campus drives. This intersection closure is planned to continue until Monday, June 10. During the intersection closure, vehicles can detour through the south of the SUNY-ESF campus and north up Oak Leaf Drive.
Delays in the proposed work may occur as a result of poor weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or for safety reasons. In the event that there is a significant delay, Campus Planning, Design and Construction will send out revised information as soon as possible.
