Economics Professor Shares Thoughts On the Trade War

Mary Lovely, economics professor at the Maxwell School, has been interviewed by several outlets covering the trade war including The New York Times, NPR’s All Things Considered, CBS News, Washington Post, the Associated Press, and a secondary AP article.

In the AP article, Lovely says that President Trump’s portrayal of U.S. trade deficit with China “is ignoring a simple point: The U.S. obtained goods and services for that money.”
