On Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Syracuse University will host its sixth “Cripping” the Comic Con symposium in the Schine Student Center. The event welcomes all community members to a day centered on this year’s theme, “And Justice for All…?,” focusing on disability justice, freedom of expression and comics culture in today’s world.
Interested attendees can register online or register on site at the event. For those who cannot attend the event in person, the welcome and morning panel will be live streamed from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. The panel will feature comics artists and thinkers who are disability rights activists; captions and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be provided. Returning to the event this year is TGP Nominal, a United Kingdom-based podcast focused on space, science and technology news, and news from science fiction, comic cons and gaming.
