R. Kelly Indictment the Latest Case Fueled By TV Documentaries

Robert Thompson, Trustee Professor and director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, was quoted in the Reuters story “R. Kelly indictment is latest case fueled by TV documentaries.”

In the story, Thompson explains that “when you see those stories embodied in actual human beings, with pretty unrelenting closeups (of interview subjects), that has a rhetorical power that exceeds ‘just the facts.’”
