Justice Thomas Argument Opens Another Attack on Free Press

Roy Gutterman, associate professor of newspaper and online journalism at the Newhouse School and director of the Tully Center for Free Speech, was quoted in an editorial board piece for Syracuse.com “Justice Thomas wants to weaken the first amendment.”

In the story, Gutterman says that “New York Times v. Sullivan is a pillar in First Amendment jurisprudence and a model of the American conception as a haven for free speech, free press, and free flow of information.
