Those attending the Syracuse-Louisville men’s basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Dome are invited to stand with Vera House to help end domestic and sexual violence and to support the organization’s 25th Anniversary White Ribbon Campaign.
Student volunteers will distribute White Ribbon Campaign awareness wristbands and collect donations at each Dome entrance. Vera House representatives will also host an information table in the back court, where game attendees can learn about Vera House programs and services.
During the entire month of March, thousands of Central New Yorkers will be wearing a white ribbon or white wristband to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. Wearing a white ribbon or wristband is an important statement that means you’ll never support, commit or remain silent about abuse.
All proceeds raised from the White Ribbon Campaign will support Vera House education and awareness programs and services. For more information about Vera House or the White Ribbon Campaign, visit www.verahouse.org.
