Midterm Election Coverage Attracts Huge Audiences

Robert Thompson, Trustee Professor and director of the Bleier Center for Television and Pop Culture in the Newhouse School, was quoted in the NBC News story “Audiences flock to midterms coverage as Fox News tops TV” and was a guest on the Nov. 7 Boston Public Radio program.

In the NBC News story, Thompson said that “midterms represented one of the few times when the news concentrates on a single, shared story.”
