Brinnkman’s Rap Guide to ConsciousnessFresh from a nearly six-month stint off-Broadway in New York City, Baba Brinkman’s “Rap Guide to Consciousness” will be performed Friday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.

Brinkman–an award-winning musician, scholar and theater performer–raps his way through some of the most difficult issues presented by psychology and neuroscience, taking the audience on a journey of self-discovery, grappling with the inner workings of the psyche, the future of thinking machines, and the insights offered by psychedelics, embryos and octopus minds.

According to YesBroadway, “You’ll learn about science via ‘Rap Guide to Consciousness’ the same effortless way you learn about history via ‘Hamilton.’”

For more information, contact Sally Hallahan in the Neuroscience Program at 315.443.3922 or swhallah@syr.edu.
