Expert Kohn on Elderly Financial Literacy

Research by Nina Kohn,  the David M. Levy Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Research at Syracuse University’s College of Law, was recently cited in the Forbes article, “Vast Majority Of Elder Financial Abuse By Guardians Can Be Prevented, Experts Tell Senate.” The article discusses several ways to protect the elderly from being taken advantage of financially. That includes not allowing a guardian to make decisions for that person until it is absolutely necessary, says Kohn.
