Chronos Undergraduate History Conference April 13
The Chronos Undergraduate History Conference will take place Friday, April 13, from 9:50 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Dr. Paul and Natalie Strasser Legacy Room, 220 Eggers Hall. The theme of this year’s conference is “Our History, Our Legacy: The Construction of Collective Identities.”
Chronos is one of the few student-run journals for historical research of undergraduate students (also published online at http://chronos.syr.edu).
Next to publishing the journal once a year, the editorial team started last year to organize an annual conference. The idea is, on the one hand, to allow faculty to talk about their historical research to an undergraduate audience and to bridge the gap between research and teaching. On the other hand, the conference gives students the opportunity to present their own historical work. This time, three distinction thesis students will present in panels together with history faculty.
