In a new scandal, Facebook has been charged with a data breach that allowed 50 million users’ private data to be harvested without their permission. With such a serious issue at hand, social media expert and Newhouse professor Jennifer Grygiel says that Facebook’s top leaders should be forced to testify on the issue.
“I hope that people in Congress are taking a look at this very carefully and that they step up and start to hold these companies accountable,” she told CBS News. “I think we need to hear from Mark Zuckerberg and the heads of the platform. I think they need to testify and disclose exactly what’s happening with the data.”
