How Albany Scandal Could Hinder Cuomo 2020
Amidst speculation of a 2020 Presidential run, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo may be hindered by a scandal on the home front. A recent Press Republican article details corruption cases in Albany, which could reflect poorly on the Governor’s White House bid. Maxwell professor Grant Reeher discusses how this may alter Cuomo’s bid in 2020.
“Of all the problems to have, having the whole Albany culture of corruption attached to him — and it will be attached to him — is one of the worst problems to have,” Reeher said. However, he also added that the best course of action would be to, “get out in front of it.”
