Free Speech Expert Roy Gutterman on New Neutrality Changes
New changes from the FCC surrounding a reversal of new neutrality regulations is sure to change up online free speech. But by how much? On the “Your Daily Constitutional” podcast, Roy Gutterman, Director of the Tully Center for Free Speech within the Newhouse school, discussed the affects this change may have.
“Well the net neutrality issue has been a hot button issue for people who follow it for ten to fifteen years since the government really got involved in regulating how we access electronic information,” he said. “So we’ve seen a shift with the government to change the standard, to change the policies, and change how this wonderful medium that we all rely on is now regulated.”
