With New CEO, Uber Looks to Avoid Risk

Talking to the Washington Post, Syracuse Law professor Shubha Ghosh spoke as to why Uber elected to settle with lawsuit with Alphabet, which is Google’s parent company.
“A settlement leaves matters more ambiguous for Uber and gives the company some cover,” Ghosh said. This stems for a planned future move by new CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, who reportedly is aiming to stay away from further issues before having a public offering begin next year.
