With Elton John set to make one final world tour before retiring, many fans of the artist are reminiscing about the famed musician and his illustrious career. Speaking with BBC, Bill Werde, the head of the Bandier Program within the Newhouse School, talked about the legacy and triumphs of the legendary performer.
“He was a big reason why the 70’s has this great air of flambouyance,” Werde said in an interview. “And then more recently he was a huge advocate, and a powerful advocate and an effective advocate for fundraising and awareness of HIV.”
