Three USA Gymnastics Officials Resign Amidst Nassar Scandal

As the Larry Nassar scandal continues to rock the United States, three top officials of USA Gymnastics have resigned. For Rick Burton, a Sports Management professor within Falk College, this move was absolutely necessary, he told Reuters.

“You can’t have elite athletes make those kinds of statements and not do anything,” he said, adding that this move was also critical in retaining sponsors, which give USA Gymnastics a third of the program’s entire funding.
