How CVS Aims to Transform Health Care

Maxwell Associate Professor and Lerner Chair of Public Health Promotion Shannon Monnat recently spoke with the Boston Globe about the pharmacy giant CVS and its recent purchase of the insurance agency Aetna, and the new plan to open up a “Genius Bar” walk-in service. Monnat, however, warns of potential downsides.

“There is the potential that these clinics would be a low-quality health care dumping ground for poor and vulnerable populations,” she said.
