ROTC cadets and members of the University community braved the cold temperatures Friday for the annual Veterans Day Fun Run. With early morning temps in the teens and an ice-cold wind whipping the Shaw Quad, a dedicated team of runners and walkers came out to help begin the remembrance of those who have served.
At the “best place for vets,” the campus run has come to represent a team bonding activity as well as an ideal way for the campus community to engage with student veterans. Chancellor Kent Syverud joined in the event, along with the new Hendricks Chapel Dean, the Rev. Brian Konkol.
