There may be one key factor in bringing the nation of Iraq back from times of desperate measures. That lies with property rights, which, as Syracuse iSchool Professor Carl Schramm discussed in the Washington Examiner, are one of the last resorts the nation has.
If Schramm’s proposal of Expeditionary Economics is to be correct, the Examiner writes Iraq, “must learn how to create the administrative machinery to protect property rights—at least on the very local scale we need to make a safe zone work.”
