The Democratic Party Identity Crisis

On last week’s nationwide election day, Democrats emerged as the clear winner. However, the political party still faces many issues, including its own identity. For The Hill, Maxwell Professor Grant Reeher commented on this, highlighting one issue in particular.

“The current struggle over an affirmative message is further compounded by the fact that the negative messaging is taking up all the energy,” Reeher said. “Everything is about opposing Trump .”
