As President Trump travels across Asia, a potential meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin may shake up the entire 12-day trip. It was unknown whether they may come in contact, but Maxwell Professor Grant Reeher discussed what could result from this face-to-face exchange for the Washington Examiner.
“It’s clear that Putin has been pursuing a strategy to disrupt the American political system, in part to bolster the relative importance of Russia in the world at a time when it faces a lot of internal problems,” said Reeher. “Just having the meeting could play into Putin’s hand in that disruption.”
