President Trump has a lot on the line as a scheduled trip to Asia draws closer, and tensions with North Korea increase. The week-long trip across the globe could result in many ways, and as Grant Reeher, professor of political science of the Maxwell School, told the Washington Examiner, it will either be very good, or very bad.
“On the one hand, it takes him to a region, and to individual countries, that he’s criticized, and with which he’s already had tensions. So, a lot of things could go wrong,” he said. “On the other hand, a diplomatic trip like this almost forces him to behave in a more conventional way, and that could help his image at home.”
