Facebook is a social media entity that has become engrossed in nearly everyone’s daily lives across the globe. While this reach connects many, the power of the company has started to become daunting- because nobody can really pin it down. This, says iSchool Professor Jennifer Stromer-Galley in a Los Angeles Times piece, is not good for our culture.
“They’re so good at being a business, but really bad at recognizing its role in society,” she said. “It is conceivable the company is so big and complex, there are dimensions and aspects of Facebook no one is paying attention to.”
