Seventh Annual Valor Day Held at Syracuse

Syracuse College of Law organized its seventh annual Valor Day on campus, which aims to provide local veterans with legal support, as well as aid. Lecturer and Director of Syracuse University College of Law’s Veterans Legal Clinic Yelena Duterte was interviewed by News Channel 9 about the event.

“Veterans don’t have the opportunity to meet with a lawyer for free, and this is the one time that they can come to campus to discuss the issues that they are facing,” she said. Student Matthew Wallace added another statement, saying the day “gives them [veterans] an opportunity to meet with lawyers who not only understand their service history, but also have the experience to help them solve those issues.”
