Call for Syracuse Welcome 2017 Volunteers
In preparation for Syracuse Welcome 2017, Syracuse University’s new student orientation program, the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs is beginning recruitment for volunteers.
In continuation of this longstanding tradition, Syracuse University faculty, staff, alumni and friends can volunteer to welcome new students and families during move-in on Wednesday, Aug. 23, and Thursday, Aug. 24. The University expects to welcome over 3,600 students to campus during this time.
If you are interested in volunteering, visit the Syracuse Welcome volunteer page for additional details and the online volunteer registration form. Volunteer information sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2, and Tuesday, Aug. 8, both at 9 a.m. in 304 Schine Student Center.
Current students interested in volunteering should join the 2017 Goon Squad.
If you have questions about the volunteer sign-up process, please contact Lisa Chestney in the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs at 315.443.1012 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
