Students from White and O’Neill’s creative advertising classes—Portfolio I, II and III—made a strong showing in the competition, winning 36 awards and making Syracuse University the third-most-awarded institution in the advertising division. Winning entries included print ads, print ad campaigns and outdoor advertising.

“These awards represent a major milestone to the learning outcome of the advertising curriculum, especially the creative emphasis, which requires three portfolio courses to be taught in sequence by two outstanding teachers,” says James Tsao, chair of the advertising department.

The student winners were:

  • Platinum: Giulia Giancola
  • Gold: Jill Archibold, Audrey Heurlin, Lauren Renz, Alexis Watson, TJ Wells
