Gabriel Ramirez

Acclaimed spoken-word poet Gabriel Ramirez comes to Syracuse for a public performance on affirmation as a form of resistance. The performance will be held at 7 p.m. April 19 in Maxwell Auditorium.

His work has been featured in Huffington Post, Vibe Magazine and at a TEDxYouth Conference. Ramirez uses powerful language to tackle controversial subjects such as white privilege and what it means to be Afro-Latino.
