The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music was ranked No. 21 on the Hollywood Reporter’s (THR) list of the “Top 25 Music Schools of 2016.”

The article noted that Crouse College “…offers an appropriate venue for the first university in the U.S. to offer a degree in music (in 1877).” It also highlighted alumni Michael Croiter ’98, Emmy Award-winning percussionist and owner of Yellow Sound Lab, and Jessica Kuhlman Shook ’01, concert logistics and travel coordinator at MKI Artists.

THR has recognized the Setnor School on this list in 2014 and 2015 and listed it as a “Music Business School with Buzz” in 2013.
