Undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ (VPA) School of Art are exhibiting work in the show “Fair Exchange” at Leeds College of Art, one of the United Kingdom’s leading independent art schools, from Nov. 4-Dec. 2.
“Fair Exchange” provides possibilities that embrace dialogues of difference and appreciation of the value of the arts in education, both historically and in the contemporary situation. The students participating in the exhibition represent the high standards of work found across the School of Art. They include Adrienne Belair ’16, Marilyn Koch G’18, Rene Gortat G’19, Lena Blum ’17, Kate Browse ’17, Sunyoung Lee G’18, Kwan Jeong G’18 and Taro Takizawa G’17.
A reciprocal show of work at the School of Art by students from the Leeds College of Art is planned for 2017. This is the second time students from the two institutions have collaborated in reciprocal exhibitions.
