The Syracuse University unit of the NAACP announces its town hall meeting, which will take place on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. in Heroy Auditorium. The Town Hall Meeting is featured in NAACP Week, a weeklong celebration of the Syracuse University unit of the NAACP including fundraising, discussions, meetings and a march in partnership with two other campus organizations speaking out against police brutality. The Syracuse University unit of the NAACP is focused on shedding light on the injustices students of color on campus face, in addition to working on NAACP’s national goals.
The meeting will act as a free-floating discussion with a moderator and panelists. The panel of guests will guide the discussion and answer questions. The audience is free to respond to the panelists, give input and ask questions as well. The intent of the meeting is to give people a voice and to have an intellectual conversation in an open setting, featuring a panel of experts to guide the discussion, all at no cost.
The meeting is open to all people.
