Volunteers Sought for Westcott Street Cultural Fair
Volunteers are needed from the Syracuse University community for the upcoming Westcott Street Cultural Fair.
The fair will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, from noon-6:30 p.m. in the Westcott Street neighborhood. The annual event, now in its 25th year, celebrates the vibrancy, diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture. It features visual and performing arts, food, service organizations and activities geared to families and SU and Le Moyne College students returning to the neighborhood. Syracuse University is a partner in the event.
As in previous years, this fair will include eclectic music and dancing, handmade goods and foods from around the world.
The success of the fair depends on the work of hundreds of volunteers from the Syracuse University community. Volunteers will be needed for shifts beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Volunteers will be asked to work at least two hours.
To volunteer, sign up at here. For more information, contact the Office of Government and Community Relations at 443-3919 or gcr.syr.edu.
