Investment Opportunities Within the Football Industry

While many see singularly ownership as the main way to invest in the game of football, a recent article from the US News and World Reports details many other ways in which people can invest in the game. The list contains six means, including private equity investments, buying a share of the Green Bay Packers franchise, a fantasy football. In regards to the latter, Sports Management Professor Rodney Paul said that investment, and continuation of daily fantasy football sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, depends on the sites’ legality, which is up in the air.

“The question is pretty straightforward,” Paul said to the publication, insisting that the sites are more of a game of chance, rather than skill, concluding that thus the games are gambling based in nature.
