Additional Information Session about University Place Promenade Project to Take Place Today

University Place, between the Newhouse complex and the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center, will be the site of the University Promenade.

Construction on the University Place Promenade project, an initiative that will enhance the campus landscape and improve the student experience, is scheduled to get underway on Monday, May 16. The promenade, one of the first projects in the Campus Framework, will create a greater sense of physical connectedness for all members of the campus community. The promenade calls for transforming University Place, between the Newhouse complex and the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center, into a vibrant, high-quality pedestrian space, which will be fully accessible.

Faculty, students, staff and members of the campus community are invited to participate in an upcoming community feedback session. These additional information session will build on the engagement and campus feedback opportunities that have already occurred. Two sessions are scheduled; the details are as follows:

Date: Monday, May 9, and Tuesday, May 10
Time: 4-5:30 p.m.
Location: Newhouse 3, Room 250

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) services will be provided. Part of Fast Forward Syracuse, the Campus Framework Plan works in coordination with the University’s Academic Strategic Plan to shape, guide and manage the Syracuse University campus environment and its physical form in support of the University’s mission.
