Syracuse University students, faculty and staff will once again compete in the annual Blood Battle against Boston College. In partnership with the American Red Cross, SU student organizations and groups are hosting blood drives throughout the month of April.
This year’s theme is “The Drive for 500,” referring to the goal of donating a total of 500 pints, which will help save up to 1,500 lives. The winner of the Blood Battle will be awarded a trophy and secure bragging rights for the entire year.
The remaining blood drives are as follows:
Wednesday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 304ABC Schine
Thursday, April 21, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in304ABC Schine
Monday, April 25, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Noble Room of Hendricks Chapel
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to schedule an appointment to donate blood. To schedule an appointment, visit http://redcrossblood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or use the Blood Donor App with sponsor code “giveblood@su.” Walk-ins are welcome. Please note: a blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
All presenting donors will receive a Red Cross water bottle.
