Impromptu Exhibition by Faculty Artists Opens Today at 914Works

gyni logoThree artists and friends from the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ School of Art—Stephanie “Simone” James, Jude “Pierre” Lewis and Barbara “Carmen” Walter—will present the impromptu exhibition “gyni: Girls Just Wanna…” April 12-30 at 914Works, 914 E. Genesee St., Syracuse. An opening reception will be held April 12 from 6-9 p.m.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The gallery is open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. For more information, email 914works@syr.edu.

James is the director of the School of Art and Doris E. Klein Endowed Professor of Art. Lewis is an associate professor of sculpture and Walter is a professor of jewelry and metalsmithing.
