VPA Dean Search Committee Launched; Meetings Scheduled for Faculty, Staff, Students, Community Input

On November 23, the College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Dean Search Committee convened its opening meeting, beginning phase one of the search for its new dean.

In seeking input from members of the VPA community, the Search Committee, in conjunction with consultants from Korn Ferry, will conduct a series of on-campus meetings. The meetings will include three town hall sessions for designated constituencies on Thursday, Dec. 3, and Friday, Dec. 4.

The full schedule for sessions is listed below. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.

A website dedicated to the VPA dean search will be forthcoming in December. Nominations of potential candidates may be sent now and at any time to SU-VPADean@KornFerry.com.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend the relevant session and share their input.

  • VPA Student Town Hall Meeting: Thursday, Dec. 3, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Sims 123
  • VPA Staff Town Hall Meeting: Thursday, Dec. 3, 3:45-5 p.m., Hall of Languages 500
  • VPA Faculty Town Hall Meeting: Friday, Dec. 4, noon-1:30 p.m., Hall of Languages 500
