SUPRA to Present ‘Refugee Reflections’
SUPRA will present the first event in its new series “Refugee Reflections: Habiba Boru.” The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. in 141 Newhouse III.
Habiba Boru is many things: mother of four, multilingual, community leader, student at Maxwell and refugee. She will be talking about her childhood growing up in a refugee camp in Kenya, her move to the U.S. in 2000 and the last 15 years of her life in Syracuse.
Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Lunch will be provided. RSVP is required.
