Libraries to Showcase New Acquisitions in Special Collections
The Special Collections Research Center at the University Libraries, home to some of the University’s most valuable and interesting treasures, will hold a special viewing of recent acquisitions on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 4-6 p.m. in the Lemke Room on the sixth floor of Bird Library.
The open house-style event will showcase a number of rare printed pieces, manuscripts and sound recordings of various types. Curators Lucy Mulroney, Jenny Doctor and William La Moy will be on hand to comment on the significance of the items and to field questions.
