Awards

Syracuse University was well represented at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Two members of the SU family received Emmys for their roles in the HBO comedy series “Veep.”

Reid Scott ’00 is an actor on the show, and Chris Godsick ’87 serves as executive producer. “Veep” took home Prime Time Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

“Veep” follows Vice President Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and her staff as they attempt to make their mark and leave a lasting legacy, without getting tripped up in the day-to-day political games that define Washington. Scott plays the role of Dan Egan, the deputy director of communications.
