The best shots of the annual Photo Walk will be published in the September print issue of The Stand.

The Stand’s annual Photo Walk will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St. (across from Dunk & Bright furniture). The event will open with a photo lesson taught by professional photographer Marilu Lopez Fretts (www.mlfphotography.com/).

Following the lesson, participants can take their time on the walk or stay with the group but should return to the center by 2 p.m. to upload photos.

Following the walk, photographers will share photos, and the best shots will be published in the September print issue of The Stand.

The event is open to photographers of all ages at any level. Interested participants must R.S.V.P. or request to borrow a camera by contacting Ashley Kang at  ashley@mysouthsidestand.com by July 10. A limited number of cameras are available for loan. Free and open to all. Water provided; lunch on your own. For more information, visit www.mysouthsidestand.com
