University Meets Corporate Challenge

Syracuse University fielded the third largest team at Tuesday evening’s 33rd annual Syracuse J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® with 160 participants. The event brought 7,864 runners and walkers from 278 companies to Onondaga Lake Parkway.

The fastest SU male finisher of the three-and-a-half mile event was Associate Professor of Physics Jay Hubisz with a time of 20:25, and the top female finisher was biology post-doctoral researcher Julia Snyder with a time of 22:10.

The fastest overall female finisher ran for Crouse Hospital, but has a strong Syracuse University connection: Katie Mutter, 25, who finished in 21:22, graduated in May from Falk College’s nutrition science master’s program.
