The Hendricks Chapel Choir, under the direction of Peppie Calvar and accompanied by Annie Laver, University Organist, will present its Spring Concert on Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Themed “Revelation,” the concert will include pieces textually connected to Revelation 5:12, which states: “Saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!’” (English Standard version).
The concert will feature graduate students Denise Ellis ’15, Sara Morey ’16 and Adam Fine ’16 conducting, as well as undergraduate vocal soloists. The choir will present a varied program, with music representing diverse styles and historical periods, including works by Lotti, Händel, Gounod and Vaughan Williams as well as a shaker tune arranged by Ferguson and several arrangements of traditional spirituals.
A reception will follow in Hendricks Chapel’s Noble Room.
