Faculty, Staff Honored for Years of Service

Chancellor Kent Syverud, left, congratulates Alvin McFadden on 50 years of service to Syracuse University.

On April 2, 162 faculty and staff members were recognized for milestone years of service to the University at the annual Salute to Service event. Employees were recognized for every five years of service starting at 25 years, with the big winner being Alvin McFadden, who has logged 50 years of service in the Housekeeping Department.

Chancellor Kent Syverud made remarks at the event, and congratulated the longtime employees. They are:
