Students and faculty heading back to the Syracuse University campus following the holiday break will notice further changes along Comstock Avenue.
On Dec. 23, City of Syracuse work crews made changes to the floating parking lane on Comstock Avenue.
The parking lane was installed by the city in October as part of roadway changes made on Waverly and Comstock avenues.
Motorists on Comstock Avenue approaching Euclid Ave will notice these signs alerting them to the new traffic pattern ahead.
The floating parking lane along Comstock between University Place and Euclid Avenue has been transitioned to a “deliveries-only” lane. Automobile parking will no longer be allowed on this portion of Comstock Avenue. Signs have been installed along Comstock making this change clear. City officials indicate this change follows input from the public and their internal analysis.
This will be of particular interest to those who haven’t been on campus since mid December.
