The University Bookstore in Schine Student Center will hold a special celebration of Children’s Books Oct. 20 -24. The celebration encourages young people and their caregivers to discover the joy of the world through books and stories with special appearances by storybook characters Elephant and Piggie.
Throughout the week, students, parents and educators from local schools will visit the bookstore to hear storytellers from the University community, including SU Literacy Corps members and Professor Emeritus Marvin Druger. Staff of the University Bookstore will share their passion for reading and books with youngsters at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, Edward Smith K-8 School and Upstate Child Care Center.
