On Tuesday, Nov. 11, students are invited to participate in “Get Hired: Pump Up the Power of You and Your Liberal Arts Degree!,” a conversation designed to help them translate their liberal arts education into career success. The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the Life Sciences Complex Auditorium and is open to all students enrolled in the college. For more information, contact your academic advisor, or email Lisa Balogh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Presented by Linda Dulye ’77, a world leader in workplace communication and engagement, as well as the creator of Syracuse’s acclaimed Dulye Leadership Experience, the program will help students:
- craft their career story
- position their liberal arts education as a “positive” for prospective employers
- prepare for job interviews
- pvercome career-search challenges
The president and founder of a change-management consultancy in Warwick, N.Y., Dulye will cover these and other topics in an engaging, interactive forum. Students planning to participate are asked to take a moment to answer a brief poll, which will help shape the nature of the conversation. The poll can be found here: http://dulye.com/SUCollegeofA&S/.
