Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Celebrating Recent High School Grads
We asked faculty and staff to share photos of their favorite recent high school graduates. Congratulations to all, and good luck as you continue your journeys!
Would you like to try bowling? Do you want a fun activity with your colleagues?
Would your group want to form a new team?
The SU & ESF Faculty and Staff Bowling League is searching for a new team or enough new members to form a new team. This is a fun handicap league accepting male and female bowlers who are currently employed at the College or University. Your skill level does not matter; we accept the beginner to the high-average bowler, with beginners coached by the more experienced bowlers. At present, we bowl at Village Lanes, 201 E. Manlius St. (Upton St.), East Syracuse from 4:55-7:25 p.m. on Tuesdays from September to May. Practice bowling begins 10 minutes before the league starts. Weekly fees are about $13 each week.
This league has a long history of bowling in the area; from Drumlins in the ’60s to the present day at Village Lanes. Members have always been recruited from the University and College community. Unfortunately, our recent move from Bowl Mor Lanes has left us a team short.
We are currently in search of new members, or a group of friends, who would like to form a new team or become league subs. The only criterion is that the bowlers be working for the College or University, or be alumni. Each team consists of four bowlers with one or two substitutes. So the goal at this time would be to find several bowlers who would like to join us full time. There are also opportunities for league subs.
If you are interested in joining us, or have further questions, please contact us soon, as league play has started. You are welcome to check us out any Tuesday evening to see which team you might want to join.
